Dufus Driver-Doctor Kills 3; Gets 6 Years in State Prison. You do the Math
A Northern California physician whose idiotic driving on a rural highway killed 3 people in 2016, has finally been sent off to a well-deserved cage.
Doctor Danny Mundall Anderson, age 71 of Sonora, had been found guilty of multiple counts of Vehicular Manslaughter, Gross Negligence, Reckless Driving and Hit & Run last July, after a Tuolumne County Superior Court jury studied the case against him.
Anderson, who fled the scene of the high-speed crash involving two other cars, was sentenced by Judge Donald Segerstrom last Friday to 6 years in prison.
The horrific collision occurred during daylight hours on October 21, 2016 when the doctor - driving a white, 2015 Acura sports car northbound on highway 59 - deliberately crossed double-yellow lines to pass two vehicles: a Toyota Camry, which was driven by Mrs. Dorothy Eisemann, age 68, and an unidentified gray van. Approaching Anderson's car in the oncoming lane was a Lexus SUV driven by Trista Hoffman, age 16. who swerved to avoid a head-on crash with the doctor, but collided head-on instead with the Camry. Trista Hoffman and her mother, Tina Hoffman, age 51, were pronounced dead at the scene by Paramedics.
Tina Hoffman's body was ejected when the front passenger door was ripped off as the SUV flipped across the highway. Severely injured passengers in the rear seats of the Lexus were Dillon Hoffman, age 17, with two broken legs, and Annie Johnson, age 16, who sustained nearly-lethal brain injuries. Mr. Reinholt Eisemann, age 72, a passenger in the Camry, died later that day.
Lab coat lunatic Anderson, an internal medicine specialist, graduated from Loma Linda University School Of Medicine in 1975. He was also found guilty of obstructing a police investigation, because after leaving the multiple death scene, he attempted to sell the car, in case witnesses were able to get his license plate number - which they did.
All of which underscores the fact that it is entirely possible for an adult male to avail himself to 20 years of terrific education . . . and STILL be dumber than a box of rocks on the public roadways.
