Heart Surgeon Found Guilty in 'Extreme Child Porn' Case. Prison Time? Of Course Not
And so it comes to pass - not much to our surprise - that yet another perverted Mid-Eastern physician - this one in Great Britain - has been convicted in Southampton Crown Court on an array of charges related to Child Pornography, including buying and selling. Yes indeed.
Doctor Ahmed Sayed, age 40, was employed at Southampton General Hospital until he was arrested. Investigators found that he had accumulated an appalling collection Child Abuse videos - including at least one which showed the torture of a naked infant boy, estimated by law enforcement to be about 6 months old.
When police raided the doctor's home they discovered more than 5,000 "extreme" photographs, including 84 felony-level videos, as well as hundreds more of "lesser criminal categories."
Sayed was fired by Southampton General Hospital when they learned of the cause for his arrest. He was then suspended from the British Medical Register and is no longer allowed to treat patients in the United Kingdom.
Sayed finally confessed to 3 charges of Indecent Child Photography, Extreme Pornography and Illegal Images of a Child. He was also found guilty of Illegal Distribution of Indecent Photographs.
"To the outside world Doctor Sayed appeared to be a gifted surgeon. But in reality, behind closed doors, he was a depraved individual fuelling an appalling online trade. Behind each of the photos or films he possessed and distributed, was a child who had been abused in the real world." (The child protection Council of the U.K.)
Sayed is an Egyptian national who immigrated to Great Britain in 2010. He graduated from Cairo University in 2001.
The daft doctor was sentenced to 24 months in prison, with the full two years suspended. He was also ordered to register as a sex offender.
