Does ANY Profession Commit More Theft Than Doctors? Not That We Can See

In the state of California the Division of Workers' Compensation has booted out dozens of bad doctors who had previously been allowed to treat - and be paid to treat - workers' compensation patients. The Administrative Director of the DWC, George Parisotto, also issued suspension orders against criminal doctors who were cheating the system out of millions of dollars. Here are just 15 lab coat loons that you should be very happy won't be treating you, should you happen to get hurt on the job:

 

Doctor Renyan Wang, Diamond Bar - Had his medical license revoked in 2017 after the Medical Board found that Wang committed repeated negligent acts in treatments.

 

• Doctor James R. Vevaina, San Diego - Had his medical license pulled in 2017 after he committed repeated acts of gross negligence in the care and treatment of his patients and couldn't seem to figure out how to keep accurate medical records.

 

Doctor Chang H. Park, Whittier - Had his medical license pulled in 2017 after he routinely committed gross negligence, failed to perform competent exams and refused to maintain accurate medical records in the care.

 

• Doctor Dan S. Mallada, Clovis - Had his medical license revoked in 2017 for violating his probation imposed by the Medical Board;  repeated gross negligence and incompetence in the care and treatment of patients.
 

• Doctor Leland G. Whitson, Redondo Beach = Was convicted in federal court in 2014 of lying in matters of healthcare. Whitson was the Clinical Director at Atlantic Health Services of Long Beach, and was a key player in a scam that enrolled high school students into a substance abuse counseling program for the students with no medical reason.


• Doctor  Muhammad Jamil Akhtar, Tempe Arizona - Had his medical license revoked in 2017 for being impaired while working at a hospital and refusing to submit to drug testing.

Doctor David Elliot Altman, Chico - Lost his medical license in 2017 after repeatedly committing gross negligent acts in the care and treatment of patients, furnishing dangerous drugs without examinations and failing to maintain adequate records.

• Doctor David M. Bee, Loma Linda - Had his medical license pulled  in 2017 after repeatedly committing negligent acts in the care and treatment of a patient; prescribing dangerous drugs with no exam or legitimate medical basis, and failing to maintain accurate medical records.

Doctor Stephen Richard Lauterbach, Binghamton - Had his California medical license revoked in 2017 after the New York State Board for Professional Medical Conduct suspended his license due to substance abuse.

• Doctor Lien Jay Kyri, Huntington Beach - Had his medical license revoked in 2017 after failing to meet conditions of his probation.

• Doctor Lenton Joby Morrow, Sacramento -  Had his medical license pulled in 2017 after he engaged in repeated negligent acts and sexual misconduct with a patient as well as grossly negligent acts in his care and treatment of other patients.

• Doctor George N. Queeley, Oakland - Lost his medical license in 2017 after he engaged in sexual misconduct with a patient.

• David Lawrence Kahn, Oakland - lost his medical license in 2017 after he committed unprofessional negligent acts and failed to maintain adequate medical records in the care and treatment of a patient.

• Doctor Christian Le, Portland Oregon - Had his medical license revoked in 2017 after the Oregon Medical Board issued an order that prohibited him from prescribing controlled substances.

• Doctor Jyotsna Sahni, Tucson Arizona - Had her medical license revoked in 2017 after she was found to have prescribed drugs with no medical exams; without keeping adequate medical records; failing to provide adequate supervision of medical staff;failing to use proper safety protocols; failing to verify staff credentials and training.
