Kentucky Senator Rand Paul - 6 broken ribs and a punctured lung
The wild-eyed doctor-neighbor who assaulted Senator Rand Paul on November 3 has decided that having his outrageous antics revealed to a Kentucky jury in court might not be a bright idea. So he has confessed to federal charges of assault in their gated community in Bowling Green. The attack left the senator with 6 broken ribs.
Doctor Rene Boucher, a 59-year-old neighbor from hell, has been charged with Assault on a Member of Congress - a serious federal felony. It carries a sentence of up to 10 years in federal prison and a $25,000 fine, according to the US attorney’s office.
Doctors fighting on the lawn, Medical professionals at their very classiest
“Assaulting a member of Congress is an offense we take very seriously,” US Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana Josh J. Minkler said in a statement. “Those who choose to commit such an act will be held accountable.”
Police revealed that Senator Paul was at home working on his yard when the incident happened. He had just finished mowing his lawn, located in a gated homeowners association called River Green, when the enraged doctor came running down the hill and tackled him from behind, forcing him to the ground and breaking his ribs. The senator was apparently wearing earmuffs as protection from the noise of the mower, which prevented him from hearing Boucher’s approach.
Senator Paul, who is also a physician, has lived next door to Boucher for nearly 20 years. Acquaintances told police the men had argued about politics in the past. Jim Bullington, a Bowling Green city commissioner, reported that the doctors were political opposites and have had “heated discussions about healthcare."
Neighbors in the upscale neighborhood are angry that the incident has brought negative publicity to their community. One resident called the doctors, “two little neighborhood shits.”
